If you go to Coachella you need a ticket, but you also need a suitable outfit. There’s a dress code you have to accomplish if you want to be an authentic inhabitant of Indio.

This music festival takes place mainly during the day, so make sure your outfit is adequate to the daylight. The first indispensable thing you need to protect you against the sunlight and to cover your sleepy eyes is your sunglasses. But they can’t be ordinary, to be a proper bohemian hippie you need the rounded ones, as the hippie heritage rules.

Ditta Von Teese

Our recommendation? House of Holland sunglasses. This season they have launched an original collection of rounded sunglasses they have been the must –have of celebrities and fashion bloggers.

Ok, we accept as a substitute of the rounded ones, the heart-shaped sunglasses… Just because we talk about Coachella.

Another homage to the most popular music festivals of the 60’s is headpieces. We let you choose between three varieties: the headdress, the floral crown and chain headpiece or headband.

Headdress, due to the Native American trend, has become an important accessory in the festival music events, specially in Coachella. From famous people to the most ‘party hard’ assistants.

The second option we show you is the fashion bloggers favourite one, especially if they are Lana del Rey fans. Yes, we are talking about the floral crown in all its versions and kind of flowers.

But our favourite one is the chain headpiece. It gives you a touch of elegance to your outfit. We have to admit we are addicted to this accessory. In every collection that Lady Marshmallow launches, we find this element, even headbands. Head over heels for them!

No music festival is a music festival if you don’t wear any vintage item. In that case it’s time for vintage denim shorts. The positive part? You can customize them however you want. There won’t be two identical ones. Wake up your creative side.

Summer, hot and music festivals is synonym of crop tops, and if the music festival is named Coachella that’s compulsory. No excuse not to wear it.

If Coachella is well known for something  for the amount of fringes we can see wherever we turn our heads on. We’ve already created the look, let’s complement it with fringes. Some choose her bags or boots for that purpose, but we’ve chosen something better… Hello shawldigans, welcome to Coachella! Also named fringe kimono this item will complete your Coachella outfit.

If you think Charlotte Free is the rebel model with her pinkish hair and other colour brush-strokes, she has a new and much cooler competitor, Chloe Norgaard.

American born but hailing from Europe, half-Danish and half-Polish, she is one of the models of the moment. But her artistic side doesn’t stop here, she is also a dj and an artist.

The ‘Rainbow model’ as she is known, changes her hair colour as you can change the colour of your nails. But it doesn’t stop her to be one of the most demanded models nowadays.

Actually, when she started modelling she just coloured her hair on her days off. This occurred until last winter when she decided why she couldn’t dye her hair everyday if she really wanted. And what seemed a caprice started to be a sign of distinction and it really shows her personality: she doesn’t want to live a life in black and white.

That fact was confusing for the casting staff who always asked her why she had so many colours on her hair, she always answered ‘cuz I eat so much candies’.

However her passion for colours on her hair started really soon, when she was a kid she sprayed her whole hair in blue. At high school she used to dye her hair with sharpies. She always dyes her hair by herself, so she expresses what she really wants on it.

If she seems eccentric, her boyfriend is a good candidate to win the eccentricity trophy as well. He is the Danish designer –but London based- Asger Juel Larsen, The eccentricity is not only for his image but also for his gothic and androgynous creations on the catwalk, where most of time her girlfriend is the image of the collection.

Although her youth, Norgaard is 22-years old, she was on the catwalk for Rodarte AW13 the last NYFW, and for Moschino in the last LFW and the image of the trendiest fashion brands.

I guess you can’t want to finish without knowing what’s the real colour of Norgaard’s hair: she’s brunette.

Very varied trends are on the spot this season, and most of them are plenty of bright colours, drawings or geometrical shapes. But there’s another one which seems to go unnoticed but it’s obvious that it’s there.

We don’t know if it is because the influence of the new entrepreneur women but femininity has become one of the trends this spring summer 2013, in all its varieties.

It could be because of the floral crowns that Lana del Rey has popularized, the ‘We’re never getting back together’ influence from Taylor Swift, or the new British celeb, Kate Middleton that the femininity has come back. Flowers everywhere, pastel colours… and skirts that starts on the hip. It reminds us the 50’s, when women started to get into business.

Focusing on the point, the F-trend is not just on clothes, it is also on accessories and hairstyle.

The materials? Lace, crochet… Whatever lets you feel good. Femininity doesn’t mean sweetness, you can be feminine being Jacky Kennedy or Anita Ekberg in Dolce Vitta. However, between so many princesses we should say that F is also for ‘Fairy tales’

We saw this trend on the catwalks from Paris to New York.

It’s hard to get rid of the Navy trend, that has been imposing fashion for a while now. And I’m not at all surprise how those cute little blue, white, baby doll, Lolita dresses, are hypnotizing all of us, at least myself. I’m addicted to all styles and shapes. From pants, dresses, dungarees, always while they keep the navy theme.

Here is a selection of  my favorite clothing and accessory items that I found on Internet.

Keep the navy theme, with some inspiring nautical Toms shoes, or even those lovely Vintage saddle shoes, that will look gorgeous with a dress, dungaree, shorts, etc… Also, a nice pair of ballerinas will look great, and if you rather go for high heels, try a pair of the so trendy clogs, similar to the ones Chanel exposed on its SS 2010 catwalk.

Nautical looks are everywhere at the moment, so it will be very easy to find similar clothing, accessories and shoes around your closest hig street stores. If you didn’t find anything yet, just wait for a little while that they bring out the Spring collection.

Also please check my Etsy store, as I have two gorgeous vintage Navy dresses and a lovely pair of vintage saddle shoes.
