Su Goodacre is a London based friend and artist. I had the chance to meet her at a party in 2007 Cannes Film Festival, and since then she has become not only an adorable good friend but also an icon. She’s such a bubbly, caring and loving person, full of adrenaline and originality, and being in her presence is simply a gift.

I admire her personality, her style, her voice…. without no doubt, a unique person devoted of many talents.

This is my first article related to my shop. You can find a bit of everything here, from Vintage clothing, accessories, decorations, everything between the 20s and the 80s. I have also started with my own creations, focusing in cute 60s and 70s knitwear, dresses, trousers, nightwear…and what ever inspires me. I will probably post them on my shop by the end of the month of October, as I wish to launch the whole collection at the same time.

I remind you that all the pieces I sell are one of a kind, and if you have any questions about them, don’t hesitate in contacting me.

I’ve had the time of my life, and I never felt this way before, I swear it’s the truth and I owe it all to you.

dirtydancing

This is the first image that appears in my mind when I hear about Patrick Swayze or Dirty Dancing.  The whole movie is registered in my brain, I can watch it over and over again, and today again. Everything inspires me, from his moves, acting, voice, his charm….well, everything.  What else can I say apart from, wish I was Baby.

Thank you Patrick for making dreams become reality. R.I.P.

endofsummer

I thought I will need to introduce my blog before going further on with new articles.
Anyways, this are few description of people who know me in person:

-She’s the XXI century Marie-Antoinette! A delicate, vibrating, victorianhippiechic.
She loves both the countryside and the city, she’s innocent and rebellious at the same time and is as sweet as its name indicates … She’s a bit of a Chelsea girl, bit like La Belle de Jour, Nico from Velvet Underground, and Jane Birkin. By M.R.

-She is a good friend with Madame Macarones…They drink tea together…, and she is a kind of a human time machine. I will describe her as a sweet historian of fashion with her vintage bag and old style glasses. By E.S.

-She’s a barefoot princess, with the class and the look of a princess as any young woman regardless of their environment. By G.G.

-Lady Marshmallow is the connection through eras, mixing the styles from the elegant to the bohemian that characterized the best fashion creations of the 20’s to the 80’s. She brings those pieces of art to the unlucky ones who weren’t born at that time. By J.G.

Thanks for those lovely descriptions. Love you all.

I’m starting this blog because I would like to share with you all the ideas, information and passions I have. Mainly focusing in fashion, lifestyle, and everything that grabs my interest in general…

I also have an online boutique where you can find from vintage clothing to my own handmade creations. All my vintage products have been selected in order to bring you not only a style, but also history, quality and a valuable piece of art. Vintage is not simply a word “a la mode”, is also a good way of helping mother earth on the recycling.

I want to end up thanking CPerspective and its team Anwar and Catalina for the creation of the website  and thank you all for following my blog, I hope you enjoy it and I’ll be more than happy to answer to any of your questions so don’t hesitate in contacting me.

With all my love; L.M.

I’m a big fan of photography and therefore I would like to dedicate few lines to some of my favorite ones. Such as David Hamilton, Tim Walker and Wendy Bevan. What grabs my main interest is the dreamy, old, blurry & lighting effects that they bring to the images.

DAVID HAMILTON

David Hamilton was born in London in 1933 and lives now near St.Tropez, France. While he was an art director of English magazine Queen, he bought his first camera. Later settling in Paris as art director of Printemps, he began devoting himself exclusively to photography. He photographs in a dreamy, romantic, and tranquil style, characterized by subdued natural lighting, graceful period clothing of muted pastel hues, lace and flowers.

WENDY BEVAN

WENDY BEVAN

Wendy is a Photographer based in London. She publishes her work mainly in fashion magazines. Over the past few year she has worked for I-d, POP, 10, Tank, Russian Vogue, Italian Marie Claire, Muse, The Independent. In April 2008 Wendy exhibited her work for the first time in London. The exhibition ‘Pleasures and Pain’ proved to be a great success. She is looking to put together her next solo show late this year.

TIM WALKER

TIM WALKER

Tim Walker is a photgrapher based in London. Tim’s interest in photgraphy began during work experience at Condé Nast where he set up the Cecil Beaton archive. After graduating from Exeter Art College, he worked as a freelance photographic assistant before working as Richard Avedon’s assistant in New York. His career as a photographer was launched when he came third in the Inpependent Young Photographer of the Year Award, and he went on to contribute to high-profile magazines including Vogue, W and Harper‘s Bazaar.

If you also would like to achieve a similar style of images, you can go on Lomo’s official website, where you can find several cameras such as the “Diana Mini, see bellow image” that brings you this effects, alternatively you can try on buying an expired film. Just for your information, Lomography store to launch in London September 11 2009 at 3 Newburgh Street, London, W1.
