Some women remain eternal, and to my opinion, what makes them so immortal is their natural refined beauty. Everything seemed to be so perfect in the past decades: streets were not invaded yet by those 70s  boring building blocks which destroyed the entire architecture; the women were sublimes, taking their time to get their hair perfectly done; fashion still had innovation; food was organic and fresh; boutiques were unique and mostly independent from today’s industrial high street stores which make it all look the same. Anyway, I know that society changes, but I regret not to have been bornin the 30s and not to have been able to enjoy that different kind of lifestyle, surrounded by a non globalized world, and where cultures used to be more defined.

Find bellow my all time favorite celebrities.

From up to down, left to right;

Grace Kelly, famous actress better known as Princess Grace of Monaco. She sparkled the monarchy on her arrival and helped to make it one of the world’s most glamorous place. V&A museum will be displaying an amazing exhibition on Grace Kelly’s wardrobe, don’t miss it out.

Jean Simmons past away on the 22nd of January 2010. She was an amazingly beautiful British actress, nominated to the Oscars for her play as Ophelia in Hamlet of Laurence Olivier.

Katherine Hepburn was one of the greatest female stars in the history of American cinema with 4 Oscar wins and 12 nominations. Also known for her relationship with Howard Hughes, her non-conformist, boyish, casual style, was once thought ungainly but eventually became chic, making her a fashion idol of that era.

British actress Vivien Leigh came to fame with her interpretation as Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind. She died at 54 years old of a tuberculosis disorder. Lauded for her beauty, Leigh felt that it sometimes prevented her from being taken seriously as an actress. She was married to Laurence Olivier.

Audrey Hepburn is one of the most famous celebrity ever. Despite a difficult childhood, Audrey made her steps into Hollywood with her charismatic beauty and her role at Breakfast in Tiffany’s. She adored children and gave most of her energy and earnings to charity programs.

Romy Schneider, an Austrian born actress with French citizenship, was very well known for her relationship with Alain Delon. She came to fame with her role in The swimming pool, in which her eyes captivated all the cameras. Her tragic life incitated her to end her days in 1982 at 44 years old.

Marylin Monroe shocked the United States Of America with her sexual scandals with President J.F. Kennedy. Her curves seduced everyone, and she eventually became the world’s biggest playmate ever. She ended her days at only 36 years old in 1962. She will remain forever the ”Blondy”, even though Paris Hilton struggles to take her place.

Brigitte Bardot, French actress, protector and defensor of animals, is better known as BB. Her past image has a big influence on today’s fashion world, bringing back the ballerinas. However, she has also been criticised because of her acts inciting racial hatred - shame on you, BB ! Let’s just keep in mind her looks and the protection of animals, and a big boo for the rest.

Rita Hayworth was an American actress from Spanish father and Irish mother. Rita is worldwide known as Gilda, an unforgettable play role that made her the biggest sex symbol of that era. She is also listed as one of the American Film Institutes Greatest Stars of All Time. Also my partner’s favorite women ever, apart from me :) .

There have been many TV Shows in the past and in the recent days that have given a big influence in the fashion community, or should I say that the fashion industry have given a big stamp in the recent and past TV Shows. Starting from the very well known Sex & The City, with the amazing styles that Patricia Field dressed up some of our biggest past fashion icons such as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).

From clutch bags, to tulle skirts,  we followed all her styles. Now, I can’t wait to see Sex & The City 2, out in cinemas May, 2010. Check out the trailer!

After that came the O.C., with the well known Mischa Barton or Rachel Bilson, that were a big influence as fashion icons for all of us.

Following with a kind of a Reality TV Show style, Laguna Beach & The Hills with Lauren Conrad.

The other very well known and popular now a day TV Show  is “Gossip Girl”, with stylist Eric Daman, that made Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen also big fashion icons.

But for the moment being, I just became addicted to the Reality TV Show, “The City”, playing Whitney Port the main role and Olivia Palermo (her looks are amazing). Without no doubt, a great program to follow not only different styles, but also a deep look behind the work of all fashion companies. For those who haven’t seen it yet, you will find all the episodes here, starting with episode 1. Enjoy it. ♥ L.M.

For those of you who don’t know her, Françoise Hardy is a French singer, model & actress. She became an icon in France in the 60’s, with the debut of her famous song “Tous les garçons et les filles which became a hit all over Europe.

I love the 70s, both in the fashion and the music field and Hardy has become one of my favorite icons from that era. She has a stunning natural beauty, songs that are great, one of my favorite it’s called “Des ronds dans l’eau” and a style that I admire. Simple, casual, rock, but trendy and stylish at the same time. Also she looks stunning in the film “Grand Prix”.

Jem & the Holograms!

If you were born in the 80s, Jem, the Holograms, the Misfits & Sinergie, will sound you very familiar. I just watch all the episodes over again in You Tube. I mean, you have everything on it, make up, hair, design, love, success. A complete package for a top girly cartoon. It was, and it still is, my favorite ever childhood TV program.

Seeking yesterday around Internet, I popped up into this gorgeous pictures of Mariano Vivanco, for a 2008 issue of Dazed & Confused magazine, inspired by Jem & the Holograms!
