And for your information, some of the items on the video are still available at my Etsy store.

Two days ago, I finally watched “Gainsbourg, vie héroïque”. A movie about one of my favorite French singers, Serge Gainsbourg, that wrote and sang hits such as “Je t’Aime… Moi Non Plus” or “Comic Strip“. He was the most controversial French singer-songwriter of the 70s, had all the best women (Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, and more), he smoked the finest cigarettes, and wrote the catchiest romantic and most exotic French tunes. Now the latest French artist Serge Gainsbourg has been given the big-screen treatment with the release of biopic “Gainsbourg (Vie Heroique)” by Joann Sfar.

Within the cast, former model Laetitia Casta, playing the voluptuous and essential role of Brigitte Bardot, and Lucy Gordon as Jane Birkin, with the tragedy attached to her, as the young British actress committed suicide 2 weeks after the film was finished. Eric Elmosnino, played fantastically the role of Serge Gainsbourg. Some of the many hits of the French singer are played in the movie, and that are sang by the actors themselves.

I leave you now, with one of my favorite parts of the movie, Laetitia Casta (Brigitte Bardot) and Eric Elmosnino (Serge Gainsbourg) singing Bonnie and Clyde.

Now you know, from where the Actress-Singer-Fashion Icon, Charlotte Gainsbourg, got her amazing style and talent, having a father such as Serge and a mother as Jane.

There have been many TV Shows in the past and in the recent days that have given a big influence in the fashion community, or should I say that the fashion industry have given a big stamp in the recent and past TV Shows. Starting from the very well known Sex & The City, with the amazing styles that Patricia Field dressed up some of our biggest past fashion icons such as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).

From clutch bags, to tulle skirts,  we followed all her styles. Now, I can’t wait to see Sex & The City 2, out in cinemas May, 2010. Check out the trailer!

After that came the O.C., with the well known Mischa Barton or Rachel Bilson, that were a big influence as fashion icons for all of us.

Following with a kind of a Reality TV Show style, Laguna Beach & The Hills with Lauren Conrad.

The other very well known and popular now a day TV Show  is “Gossip Girl”, with stylist Eric Daman, that made Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen also big fashion icons.

But for the moment being, I just became addicted to the Reality TV Show, “The City”, playing Whitney Port the main role and Olivia Palermo (her looks are amazing). Without no doubt, a great program to follow not only different styles, but also a deep look behind the work of all fashion companies. For those who haven’t seen it yet, you will find all the episodes here, starting with episode 1. Enjoy it. ♥ L.M.

Jem & the Holograms!

If you were born in the 80s, Jem, the Holograms, the Misfits & Sinergie, will sound you very familiar. I just watch all the episodes over again in You Tube. I mean, you have everything on it, make up, hair, design, love, success. A complete package for a top girly cartoon. It was, and it still is, my favorite ever childhood TV program.

Seeking yesterday around Internet, I popped up into this gorgeous pictures of Mariano Vivanco, for a 2008 issue of Dazed & Confused magazine, inspired by Jem & the Holograms!
