Last Thursday, I went to the city to look after some summery fabrics, with a Vintage touch, to design some Lady Marshmallow swimwear. And yes, I did find some amazing 60s style textiles, so hopefully, by June I could put them on sale and do a little photo shooting. I also came across, a heavenly bag my mum has kept for ages, with old golden navy buttons, and others, that I will definitely use on my collection.

By night, I attended a fashion event with my friend Tatiana, that Urban Woman magazine (a free fashion local mag) organized on one of my favorite places in Alicante, the Concerto Club.

The place was great, with an amazing beach style display at the club front window where the models posed as maniquies. However I was very disappointed on the event it self, as all the bikinis they presented, were very boring, granny, and old fashion. Also the models were a bit dull, so, I guess I’m not in the right city to expect something cool and edgy, regarding fashion events, such as in London, where I used work and study fashion for over five years.

Even though I did tons of pictures, this is the only bikini that could please me a bit.

On my next post, I have selected some of my favorite swimwear brands and bikinis that are a must for this Summer 2010, so don’t miss them out, and let me know what’s your favorite ones.

I’m totally in love with the new Topshop collection by Kate Moss. It offers an eclectic mix of vintage inspired styles, fabrics and colours.

See Kate dancing along to The Strange Boys, on Nick Knight’s short film, where she brings an airy and romantic feel to the collection.

Hard to select my favorite items, as I’m in love with all of them. So I invite you to see the whole Collection by yourself and let me know what’s your favorite one.

Find bellow some of my selected pieces for Lady Marshmallow, on the Kate Moss Spring Summer 2010 collection for Topshop.

Tuula it’s a special name for me, as it is my mothers name. But it’s also the name of an ultra cool blog and eBay store, where you can find designer and vintage outfits, that the 21 year old Jessica, online vintage store owner and model from Australia, sells and displays on her photo-shootings.

An adorable collection that you can purchase on her eBay store, and find the latest news and giveaways on her blog. You can also join Tuula on her facebook page.

No other words, to describe this  innocent rebellious Lolita look, that grabbed my attention at first sight, than watching her beautiful pictures and her great sense of styling.

Claire Incorruptible is an Australian Vintage-Designer online boutique, mainly focusing on the 80s and 90s fashion eras. The first time I heard about it was thanks to Style Bubble. What captured my attention was a  jacket by Norma Kamali that she published on her blog (second image bellow), I rushed to get the jacket but was already sold out, so hopefully I could recreate it. Since then, I have been browsing Claire Inc online boutique, and I must admit that they have incredible designer clothing and accessories for fair prices. I must say, that thanks to internet, we have the opportunity to shop exclusive pieces from the other side of the world, and I’m really glad about it, cause I could never find this kind of items in my town.

I wish my house was as spectacular as the 40 Winks Boutique Hotel. All thanks to David Carter, owner and extremely talented and well known interior designer.

This hotel situated in the very trendy East London, has such a wonderful charm, with a cocktail explosion of romance, retro-antique, Marie-Antoinette, well, everything I like.

I always loved small cosy hotels, but if I can also get a wicked, fantastic, all I want decoration, I will never want to leave the hotel, and will spend my days in, photo-shooting myself with my Vintage clothing all over the places.

Anyways, if you go to London, don’t miss out the chance to book a room in 40 Winks. I’m already planning to go to London, just to spend some nights at the hotel, even though I have family and friends living around with their doors open.

And just to get the cherry on the cake, in 40 Winks Hotel, you can also experience a day as a Vintage Starlet, at their monthly Tart event.  This includes a day of pampering, yummy cakes and cocktails, vintage make up tips, massages, vintage fashion clothing & accessories. Come on, what else do we want. ♥ it!
